Job Purpose

Main Duties and Responsibilities

1. To conduct quantitative and qualitative analysis of linguistic data as directed; to add material to the project database as required.

2. To work with the team as a whole to enable the project’s success, with particular responsibility for liaison with the Technician and the wider Network of Scholars; to liaise with internal and external stakeholders.

3. To give conference papers as opportunities arise, and write up material for publication.

4. To contribute to project publicity; to supply regular contributions to the project website; to evaluate the use of social media for the project; to engage with the wider public through social media; to answer queries from academics and the public.

5. To attend and provide research progress reports at regular project meetings and contribute to decision-making.

6. To organise events such as online testing and the project colloquium.

7. To contribute to the online manual and develop ideas for educational uses of the project.

8. To undertake any appropriate training and professional development courses, e.g. in statistics.
