In accordance with PAMIS policies and procedures the co-ordinator will:
Provide an on-going support service to families. Identify the information, advice and training needs of families caring for a relative with profound and multiple learning disabilities. Identify resources, facilities and opportunities which contribute to meeting these needs. Work in partnership with local families and professionals towards better services and opportunities. Organise information and training events for family carers and relevant professionals. Ensure that family carers, individually and collectively through PAMIS, are fully involved in consultations. Represent PAMIS on local and national committees, working groups etc. Oversee the safe and efficient operation of the PAMIS office in your location. Supervise the work of any PAMIS project worker(s) or administrative staff allocated to you. Provide written reports for PAMIS and funding agencies and for wider publication as relevant. Work week-ends and/or evenings as and when necessary. Contribute to the overall development and philosophy of PAMIS.Tags: Social Sciences and Social Care Jobs
