Salary: £49,770 - £57,230 per annum

An opportunity has arisen for a qualified accountant to become the Deputy Faculty Finance Officer (maternity cover) within the Faculty of Medicine. Reporting to the Faculty Finance Officer, you will take responsibility for the coordination of the annual budget and production of the monthly management information.

You will need to be a proactive team player but with the ability to work on your own initiative, and be able to challenge existing processes in order to improve overall financial management within the Faculty.  You should have proven ability in improving/implementing financial management processes and producing clear and concise written material for management.  You will have a flexible approach with a willingness to get involved in a wide range of activities. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to explain financial issues to non-financial people, are essential.

This post is full-time and fixed-term for 15 months (available from 1 October 2011) and is based at South Kensington Campus.
