The Department of Architecture wishes to recruit hourly paid Visiting Lecturers to teach design studio in Architecture. There will be new studio groups working within each of our popular and highly successful courses leading to BA(Hons) Interior Architecture (not Part 1), and BA (Hons) Architecture (Part 1) ; and the Graduate Diploma in Architecture (RIBA Part 2). The appointments will be on Visiting Lecturer contracts for one or two days per week teaching for two 12 week semesters, and in addition to engage in preparation of the teaching programme and of its assessment. Typically a design studio group is taught by two tutors and one is the studio leader for two days partnered by the other for one day, and the studio group will have 20 - 24 students. The successful applicants will be imaginative and creative, with contemporary intellectual engagement in the subject, and an understanding of the requirements of professional validation. Teaching experience and relevant research interests would be advantages.

Daily attendance - 4.5 hours min.
