£44,602 - £55,626 p.a. inc. LWA

The Centre is based in the School of Social Sciences, Humanities and Languages on the University's central London Regent Street site. The work of the Centre encompasses a range of English language courses (including pre-sessionals and summer schools), university-wide EAP modules, language teacher training courses and consultancy for university projects in Britain and abroad.

The purpose of this role is the leadership and development of the Centre for English Learning and Teaching, thus the Director candidate will create and lead successful teams and be responsible for achieving and maintaining the educational standards of the Centre and University. They will be expected to take formal responsibility for the management of both resources and staff and to identify opportunities for strategic development of new projects with a view to fostering networks and collaborations and generating income.

The candidate will be appropriately qualified and have extensive knowledge and experience in the field of English language learning and teaching. S/he will demonstrate the ability to develop appropriate academic and commercial activities in innovative ways, and show experience of building and motivating successful teams.
