The post-holder will play a key role in leading the development and implementation of the innovation delivery plan for the Energy Sector. Engagement with industry is key to effectively realising the delivery plan and hence the post-holder's core objective will be to establish revenue-generating relationships between the University of Leeds and the energy sector.

This is a strategic role that will require close working with key academic colleagues and the University and Faculty's Research and Innovation Services to achieve the best results for both the University and its innovation partners.

The Innovation Manager will be involved in the development and delivery of a range of knowledge exchange activities including: knowledge-led innovation support to businesses (contract/collaborative research and consultancy, placement schemes), commercial exploitation of intellectual property, and the promotion of skills development programmes.

The post-holder will undertake detailed analysis of the sector marketplace and match this to University delivery capability, creating effective innovation pathways to maximise the impact of our unique expertise. The Innovation Manager will be responsible for establishing and managing high-level relationships with innovation stakeholders.

The successful candidate will have experience of developing innovation strategies in complex organisations, excellent project management skills and the ability to build performance based partnerships.

University Grade 8 (£36,862 - £44,016 p.a)
