American Intercontinental University London (www.aiulondon.ac.uk) invites applications from Lecturers for a full-time post which involves teaching fashion marketing, and also course leadership.

The Fashion Department is a lively department, with a small group teaching British and international students in pleasant surroundings, just off Marylebone High Street and five minutes walk from Oxford Street.

The fashion programmes are strong academically and also highly industry relevant. We are, therefore, searching for an applicant with experience of both teaching fashion marketing and of the fashion industry. The department has close links with the fashion industry through live projects, workshops, seminars, guest speakers, placements and sponsorship. Many of the lecturers are practicing professionals.

A high standard of interpersonal and organisational skills is essential. The successful applicants will be encouraged to continue their research and/or professional development.  Applicants should hold a MA or PhD.

To apply, please send a brief letter of application, stating your salary expectations, together with a CV (preferably by email) and details of two referees, to: Gary George, Director of Human Resources, American InterContinental University, 110 Marylebone High Street, London W1U 4RY, or email: ggeorge@aiulondon.ac.uk. Closing date: 30 September 2010.

Please note that the offer of employment will be conditional on the prospective employee producing evidence, at interview, of their academic credentials and sight of their passport. Shortlisted candidates will be required to perform a classroom teaching exercise of 20-30 minutes duration.

If you have not heard from us by 29 October 2010, you should assume that you will not be invited to attend for interview on this occasion.

AIU London is an equal opportunities employer. We do not discriminate on grounds of gender, marital status, civil partnership, race, colour, religion, ethnic origin, sexual orientation, disability, community background, or age.
