£22,000-£24,400 p.a.

An exciting opportunity has been created for a self-motivated, enthusiastic graduate in a social science, life science or health science discipline with high level communication and social skills.  You will be employed by the University of Stirling as a KTP Associate to work on a 27 month strategic project with NHS Quality Improvement Scotland (NHS QIS).

You will be responsible for enhancing existing practice on the use of Patient Reported Outcome Measures in NHS quality improvement with particular reference to low literacy and communication impaired populations.  You will be working in an interdisciplinary team at NHS Quality Improvement Scotland, Glasgow offices with support and regular contact from staff at the Universities of Stirling and Dundee. 

You should hold a degree (at least upper second) or higher degree (MSc or PhD) in psychology, sociology or other social science (including geography or economics), health or life sciences.  You should be numerate and ideally have some psychometric skills and experience in working with people with low literacy and/or people with communication disabilities.

You should be a good communicator with a high degree of flexibility, a team worker with a willingness to travel in Scotland.  You should also have good time management skill with a focus for detail and well developed writing skills.
