Lead Evaluator
Circa £53k plus £2,500 London Allowance

Marie Curie Cancer Care provides free specialist support and nursing care to terminally ill patients and their families. We aim to give patients the best quality of life, meeting all their physical, spiritual and social needs, and provide their families with care and emotional support.
The Research and Innovation team evaluates new approaches to care at the end of life, and drives evidence based change across the charity and the NHS. We evaluate new approaches by delivering and supporting both formative and summative evaluation, working to understand and share the impact of new developments on our services, and the patients we care for.
The team also directs substantial investments in palliative care research and works to ensure that patients and families can take part in research. We ensure that emerging findings influence our own service developments, our policy positions and our organisational strategy.
Joining our Innovation Board, you'll support internal teams and external evaluators to plan, direct and deliver a stream of high quality evaluation projects. Naturally curious and an expert on quantitative and qualitative analysis, you'll enjoy the chance to develop, deliver and support a range of evaluation projects. Representing us in the academic and clinical communities, you'll act as a link between research and practice.
You will be central to delivering a research strategy that makes a difference to patients and carers. With an academic background in health or research, you'll also help to organise a national research conference, and manage our external research communications, including national calls for proposals.
