You will join the Architecture team in Plymouth to contribute as a key member of staff to teaching, research and the academic life within the school. You will be directly involved in the Design Studio and/or taught specialist modules (the latter may include History and Theory, Communication and/or Technology), and will engage in developing imaginative and high-quality teaching. You will engage in research aligned with one or more of the following themes: culture, theory and space (including issues of urbanism); sustainability; and digital technology and architecture. You will be capable of developing the academic environment of the School and advancing knowledge and the School's national and international reputation.
You will have a demonstrated record of high performance in design work in practice and/or scholarly activity research, with teaching experience in Architecture. You will show clear capacity for research, whilst an already accomplished research track-record will clearly be an advantage. You will have an enthusiasm for creatively shaping the academic environment, promoting new ideas and initiatives to innovate both within the curriculum and the broader development of the Architecture subject area. You will be an excellent communicator, team player, inspiring teacher and colleague, while having the capacity to organise and manage both information and colleagues.
This is a full time position working 37 hours per week on a permanent basis.
