The appointment will be on UCL Grade 7. The salary range will be £35,415 - £38,441 per annum, inclusive of London Allowance.

Duties and Responsibilities

The Bartlett School of Planning at UCL is a research-led planning school with an international reputation offering innovative planning and built environment teaching programmes at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels. The School is now in a position to make a number of major new appointments to further strengthen its academic team, one of these being a new Lecturer in Sustainable Development.  

The successful applicant will be expected to contribute to developing the School's research profile through publications of an international standard, and through attracting and undertaking funded research projects.  They will also be expected to make a contribution to the School's teaching programmes and demonstrate an established research record. 

The Bartlett School of Planning offers a friendly, supportive and dynamic work environment, based in Bloomsbury in the heart of London.

It is envisaged that the start date for this post will be 1 September 2010 or as soon as possible after this date.

Key Requirements

Applicants should have a PhD in Planning or a related field. The successful candidate will have specialist knowledge in sustainable development.
