The Faculty of Development and Society has over 500 staff and 11,000 students and is committed to cutting edge learning and teaching along with innovative research.
We are currently seeking a self-motivated Lecturer / Senior Lecturer to teach within the Department for Education, Childhood and Inclusion within the Faculty of Development and Society. You will contribute to one or more of the following:
• Take a leading role as a Tutor on FdA/BA Hons Early Years and / or Masters Early Childhood Studies involving SHU learning, teaching and assessment processes.
• Take a leading role as a Tutor, Assessor and/or Mentor on Early Years Professional Status Pathways
• Contribute to research and development activities in the field
You will have relevant professional experience and qualifications relating to work with young children. You will have good organisational skills, with an ability to work constructively as part of a team and motivate others.
The post may involve visiting early years settings and/or working with young children. The person offered this post will therefore be subject to an Enhanced criminal records check by the Criminal Records Bureau. A criminal record will not necessarily prevent you from working at Sheffield Hallam University but its relevance to the duties of the post will need to be assessed before the appointment is confirmed.
