Part -Time, 12 month fixed-term contract from 1 July 2011
Salary in the range £36,027 to £47,292 p.a. inc. pro-rata

UEL's School of Humanities and Social Sciences (HSS) offers a wide range of interdisciplinary programmes and research interests, drawing upon the humanities and social sciences, to create a thriving academic and intellectual environment. We are seeking a new colleague to teach at undergraduate and postgraduate levels on our International Development programmes.

You will have Ph.D in a relevant field and experience of teaching at HE level in a diverse multicultural environment. A sound research profile in the area of International Development Studies and the ability to undertake programme management and student support counselling are essential. Applicants are particularly welcome from those with a background in Development Economics with special interest in one or more of the following:- Development in Africa, NGO Management, Sustainable Development and the Commons and Development.
