The appointment will be on UCL Grade 7. The salary range will be £35,557-£38,594 per annum, inclusive of London Allowance.
Duties and Responsibilities
The Bartlett School of Planning at UCL is a research-led planning school with an international reputation offering innovative planning and built environment teaching programmes at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels. The School is now in a position to make a number of major new appointments the latest of which is a lectureship in China Planning. The post will build on a growing engagement with China across the Faculty and will lead the School's planned professional training activities in this area.
The post-holder will be required to carry out research of a high international standard offering leadership in the field of China Planning and Development, and to undertake teaching and administration within the School of Planning, as allocated by the Head of School.
It is envisaged that the start date for this post will be 1st September 2011 or as soon as possible after this date.
Key Requirements
The successful candidate will be expected to contribute to developing the School's research profile through publication of a high international standard, and through attracting and undertaking funded research projects. They will also be expected to make a full contribution to the School's educational mission.
The successful candidate will have a PhD in Planning or a related subject / discipline.
