Based at the Royal College of Physicians of London, the Clinical Standards Department and the National Clinical Guideline Centre strive to improve the quality of care to NHS patients by developing clinical guidelines, setting and monitoring standards of care and supporting healthcare quality improvement activities.
We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, highly motivated, competent Medical Statistician to work with multi-disciplinary teams on a range of projects which require the support of a variety of statistical activities.
With an MSc or PhD in statistics, you will have excellent interpersonal and communication skills, be able to work well within a multidisciplinary team, present statistical concepts to a variety of audiences, and have experience of writing papers for publication in peer reviewed journals. You will have experience of managing substantial datasets, application of a variety of statistical methods and interpreting published academic papers. You will manage a complex, varied workload so a systematic approach to planning and organisation is critical to ensure it is delivered on time and within budget.
