The School of Human and Health Sciences is pleased to invite applications for fee waiver PhD scholarships in the following social science topics:

This research could examine the context, culture, land use and accessibility factors that distinguish small islands from other nation states and the implications of these differences for offending, crime detection and prevention.

• Exploring how identities are construed though consumer products - for instance, how women and/or men understand their own and others' identities through choices of footwear. This would use methods based in Personal Construct Psychology and constructivism.
• The restorative activities used in the relief of fatigue in long-term illness e.g. cancer, chronic heart disease, respiratory illnesses.
