Full Time:
Salary will be negotiable on the professorial scale but not less than £61,960 per annum. The salary is inclusive of London Allowance.
The Bartlett School of Planning at UCL is a research-led planning school with an international reputation offering innovative planning and built environment teaching programmes at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels. The School is seeking to appoint a professor either in the field of Spatial Planning or Property and Planning.
The post holder will contribute to the advancement of the School's role as an international leader in the field of spatial planning, or help expand the international presence of the school in the field of property and planning. The post holder will already have an international reputation in their field, established through excellent research and a track-record in dissemination and publication. Their contribution to the School will be achieved through sustained research activity and peer-reviewed research publication; success in raising research grants and other income to support School research and other activities; high-quality and innovative undergraduate and graduate teaching, supervision of research students within the post-holder's field of expertise; collaboration and co-operation with colleagues across the faculty, the college and beyond; active dissemination of research knowledge for maximum social impact; and contribution to public engagement.
It is envisaged that the start date for this post will be 1st September 2012 or as soon as possible thereafter.
The successful candidate will be expected to contribute to developing the School's research profile through publication of a high international standard, and through attracting and undertaking funded research projects. They will also be expected to make a full contribution to the School's educational mission.
