Department of Psychiatry, Warneford Hospital, Oxford

Grade 6: £26,004 - £31,020 p.a.

Section of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry. We are looking for a full time Research Assistant to join a team working on a Wellcome Trust funded randomized controlled trial of psychological treatments for mothers with postnatal depression. The post is based at the Warneford Hospital, although largely consisting of field work across Oxfordshire and Buckinghamshire, and is funded for 16 months.  

The postholder will conduct detailed assessments of children aged around 24 months, including assessments of attachment, emotional regulation and developmental assessments. 

With a relevant degree (2:1 or above), you will have experience of working with mothers and young children. The post will involve extensive travel to participants? homes so it is essential that you have either a valid driving licence and your own vehicle or other independent means of transport. Some weekend work will be required. Experience in experimental and research methods would be a strong advantage

Owing to the nature of this position, any offer of employment with the University will be subject to a satisfactory disclosure report from the Criminal Records Bureau.
