The Faculty of Education and Theology is looking to employ a research assistant on a full-time temporary contract for one year, starting as soon as possible. The successful candidate will be expected to help with a range of projects designed to raise the research profile of the faculty.

Duties will include:

1. Assisting with the design and administration of research projects, which may involve applications for ethical approval, the recruitment of research volunteers and the distribution and administration of questionnaires or other research instruments;
2. The interviewing or observation of research volunteers using agreed protocols and procedures;
3. The coding of qualitative and quantitative research data;
4. Basic handling and analysis of research data under supervision.

In all cases the post-holder will work under the close supervision of a qualified researcher within the faculty.
