Turboprop and propfan-equipped aircraft noise emission model, funded by EU Clean Sky.
A researcher is sought to work on a project on aircraft noise prediction, aircraft aerodynamics, flight mechanics integration, software engineering to industry standards. S/he will be responsible for developing numerical models, testing software, integrating software, delivering results in a timely manner, providing technical reports and engaging in other scientific writing.
The researcher will be part of a team working in multi-disciplinary areas in aero flight mechanics. A PhD in a relevant discipline, or equivalent experience, is a requirement, as are experience and skills in software engineering, experience in computational methods for acoustics, and proven knowledge of aerodynamics, software design and development and testing. Knowledge of scientific software development platforms (in particular Fortran 95), on Windows and Linux is also necessary.
