We are seeking to appoint a Research Associate to work in the Centre for Urban and Regional Ecology (CURE), tenable from August 2010 for 12 months. You will contribute to the research project EUCO2 Energy Orientated CO2 Scenarios in 14 Metropolitan Regions which is funded through a collaborative venture between the 14 collaborating regions and METREX. You will be required to travel extensively in Europe between September and December inclusive, and to facilitate high-level stakeholder scenario sessions with real-time translation.
You will have a PhD or equivalent professional experience in a relevant subject such as Energy Policy, Climate Change Mitigation and Urban Planning; and have evidence of high quality research activity with a record of achievement leading to publication. Foreign language capabilities e.g. Spanish and Italian are desirable but are not essential.
Salary
£28,983 - £35,646 p.a.
