School of Community Health Sciences Division of Epidemiology & Public Health
The Division of Epidemiology and Public Health are looking for a candidate with a grounding in quantitative research methods to work on an NIHR funded programme of research into the management of medical crises in older people. The programme comprises of a combination of systematic reviews, observational cohort studies and randomized controlled trials. The person appointed will undertake and support others in the research team, in the analysis of the cohort studies and advise on statistical aspects of the systematic reviews and forthcoming trials. They will also assist in preparing reports of this work for publication. The post provides an opportunity to develop statistical and epidemiological skills, contribute to publications, and become actively involved in a wide range of research in health care of older people.
Candidates should have a good first degree and either training in medical statistics or epidemiology or relevant quantitative research experience, and preferably experience of applying statistical methods in health-related research.
Salary will be within the range £24,273 - £26,523 per annum, depending on qualifications and experience. This full-time post will be offered on a fixed-term contract for a period of 30 months.
