This post provides an exciting new opportunity to join the research team for the Action Medical Research funded project “Premature Infants’ Skills in Mathematics” (PRISM) Study. PRISM is a multi-site study of 8 to 10-year-old children who were born very preterm (less than 32 weeks gestation) and a similar number of children who were born at term. The children will be given educational and psychological assessments at school to investigate the nature and causes of learning disabilities in very preterm children. Ultimately, the study aims to provide information that will aid in developing educational interventions to improve very preterm children’s mathematics skills. The study is based at two sites – London and the East Midlands.
As a Research Study Administrator, you will provide administrative support for the PRISM Study. You will work closely with the PRISM team to develop and implement general administrative systems and procedures for effective running of the study including organising storage of study documentation, coordinating postal correspondence and developing and maintaining study databases for storage of participant details. You will be required to work closely with PRISM study research staff, parents and teachers of children in the study to organise assessments and distribute information packs and questionnaires. The closing date for this post is midnight on Friday 18th March 2011.
We anticipate that interviews will take place on Friday 25th March 2011.
