The University of Southampton has an in-house security service providing 24-hour cover across several different sites and is looking for additional security officers. There are 5 positions available.

You will work on a rotating shift (including nights, weekends and Bank Holidays) averaging 48 hours per week. Although based at the Highfield Campus your duties will take you to all of our other sites patrolling on 12.5 hour shifts so you can expect a varied and interesting work pattern.

You must have a Security Industry Authority Licence to Door Supervisor Level, a full car Driving Licence and a First Aid qualification (3 day Health & Safety at Work course). Manual handing experience would be advantageous. You should also have a good customer focused work record. Any appointment will be subject to a satisfactory CRB check at the enhanced level.
