The School of Health & Social Care is looking to appoint a senior lecturer to contribute to teaching, research and practice development in public health and health policy. The School provides an undergraduate degree in public health, as well as a growing range of CPD courses and professional practice activities in public health and health policy.
You will contribute to the development and delivery of courses and programmes that are flexible, contemporary and responsive to the needs of the workforce and the requirements of contemporary health and social care organisations.
We are looking for an individual who has knowledge and significant experience of public health and health policy to contribute towards expanding taught programme at Master's level, as well as generating a programme of work and professional activities to make a contribution to the public health agenda in Kent, Medway and South London. Interest in global health issues would be welcomed as the School has developed a number of overseas partnerships in public health and is looking to develop collaborative programmes as a result.
We are looking for a highly motivated individual, ideally with a related Master's Degree or PhD, or a willingness to work towards one. You should also have, or be willing to undertake, a recognised teaching qualification. Experience of proposal writing, bid development, and related income generation activities, would also be an asset.
The post is based at Avery Hill, London, with occasional teaching at Medway, and liaison activities in Kent, Medway and throughout South London.
Salary scale: £38921 - £47115 per annum inclusive
