£16,161 - £19,185 per annum depending on skills & experience
Salary can progress to £22,879 per annum subject to performance

We are looking for an enthusiastic individual to join the Study Abroad team within the University's International Office.  The Study Abroad team manages the University's student exchange and study abroad programmes and provides advice and assistance to colleagues on collaborative activities.  This person appointed will have particular responsibility for providing support for the following schemes:

  • University wide Universitas 21 Student Exchange Programme.
  • Study Abroad Programme.
  • International Exchange Programmes.
  • China Campus Exchange Programme.
  • Overseas summer programmes.

The role will involve a wide range of office work including preparation of documents, arrangement of itineraries for visitors, database and web updating.  This post will also include substantial contact with students and requires excellent communication skills and an ability to handle varied queries via face to face and telephone enquiries.

Candidates should be educated to A Level standard or equivalent and must have excellent office skills including a proven ability to work with databases and Microsoft Office applications such as Excel, PowerPoint and Word.  A demonstrated ability to work on a number of projects at one time will also be advantageous. This is an interesting and varied job, which provides experience with international visitors and students from many countries and with a wide range of staff and students across the University.
