A Teaching manager is required to oversee the administration of teaching and training activities within the Division: 5 Masters Courses (Radiopharmaceutics and PET Radiochemistry, Medical Engineering and Physics, Nuclear Medicine Science, MRes Medical Imaging Sciences and MRes Clinical Imaging Research), a large PhD programme, and an intercalated undergraduate programme in Radiological Sciences for medical students. There are also several short courses for CPD. A new undergraduate programme in Biomedical Engineering is being developed, and there are plans for development of new masters programmes. The appointee will assist with the administration and quality assurance of all these programmes, supporting the academic teaching leads and overseeing additional administrative support. While the MSc programmes are well established, the undergraduate course in Biomedical Engineering will be a new venture for the Division and will fall across 2 schools within the college: Medicine and the new School of Natural and Mathematical Sciences, which requires working within complex organisational structures and with many stakeholders. Therefore, the Division seeks an experienced Teaching Manager to support the development of the new courses (experience in starting up new academic programmes would be advantageous) and to help ensure the continued success of existing programmes and matriculation of 20+ PhD students per year.

The appointment will be made, dependent on relevant qualifications and experience, between £28,074 & £33,070, per annum, inclusive of £2,323 London Allowance, per annum.  Benefits include an annual season ticket loan scheme and a final salary superannuation scheme.

Further details and application packs are available on the College’s website at www.kcl.ac.uk/jobs, or alternatively by emailing Human Resources at jcmbjobs@kcl.ac.uk.  All correspondence should clearly state the job title and reference number G5/MRE/557/10-LA.

The closing date for receipt of applications is 15 November 2010

Interviews are scheduled to take place on 15 December 2010
