A Postdoctoral Research position is available in the laboratory of Dr. Philip Tofilon at Moffitt Cancer Center. This is an entry-level position for an individual with less than 3 years post-graduate experience in which the individual will be responsible for assisting with research activities as well as conducting independent research projects when appropriate under limited supervision.
We are looking for a highly motivated individual to investigate the mechanisms mediating the radiosensitivity of glioblastoma stem cells grown in vitro and in vivo. This work will involve cell culture as well mouse xenograft models. A recent PhD in radiobiology, molecular biology, cell biology or related fields is required. Ability in conducting, evaluating and reporting of research studies is essential as is the ability to work in a multidisciplinary environment. Extensive experience in cell and tumor biology is highly desirable. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required.

Lee Moffitt Comprehensive Cancer Center is a modern facility on the University of South Florida Campus that conducts research on various aspects of Cancer Biology with emphasis on translational research. It is the third largest Cancer Center in the US based on patient volume.
